Most comparison sites rank plans by the price at exactly 1,000 kWh. Your usage swings from spring to August — so we price every plan on a full year of it.

A plan that gives a $125 credit "when usage is 1,000 kWh or more" looks cheap at exactly 1,000 kWh. At 999 kWh the credit disappears and the same bill jumps by $125. In Texas, spring and fall months often land below 1,000.
A typical Texas home uses about twice as much in August as in April. We price each month separately and add them up, so the plan that wins is the one that is cheapest for your whole year.
When a fixed contract ends you roll onto a month-to-month rate that is often far higher. Save your end date and we will email you — and put it on your calendar — before it happens.
Pick a home size or type your monthly average from a bill.
Every plan priced on 12 months of your usage, traps flagged.
