Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-10-08 · Operated by Louis Byun, doing business as TexasHomeBills™.
What we collect
- Account — your email address, and a name, language and time zone if you add them. If you sign in with Google we receive your name and email from Google.
- Contracts you save — provider, plan, rate, usage, dates, cancellation fee, an optional ESI ID and notes. Only you, and our administrators when needed to run the service, can see them.
- Messages — what you send through the contact form or support messages.
- Usage data — pages viewed, searches (including ZIP codes you enter), approximate country, device and browser type, referring page, and which sign-up links you click. Visit statistics store only a one-way hash of your IP address; security and activity logs (sign-ins, form submissions, account actions) record the IP address itself to prevent abuse.
We do not ask for or store payment cards, Social Security numbers or utility account passwords.
How we use it
To provide the service you ask for (log-in, dashboard, rankings, reminders and calendar feed), to answer you, to measure and improve the site, to reconcile affiliate reports, and to protect the site from abuse. We send email only for purposes you can switch on and off in your profile, plus messages needed to run your account.
What we never do
We do not sell your personal data, share your contract details with electricity providers or brokers, use your data for targeted advertising, or call or text you.
Service providers we use
- Our hosting provider (servers and backups in the United States).
- Google: Gmail to send email; Google Sign-In if you choose it; Google Analytics to measure traffic; and reCAPTCHA to block automated abuse. Google processes this data under its own Privacy Policy and Terms. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Public data sources we read from (PowerToChoose, the PUCT provider list). We do not send them your personal data; when you look up a ZIP code we ask PowerToChoose for plans in that ZIP only.
When you click a sign-up link you leave our site. The provider, and any affiliate network in the link, will process your information under their own privacy policies.
Usage files and bills you upload
When you upload a Smart Meter Texas file or a bill to rank plans on your usage, we read it in memory to extract kWh, dates, charges and plan details, show you the result, and discard the file. We do not store the file or its contents. If you are signed in and choose to save the result to a contract, only the 12 monthly kWh values and the plan details shown on screen are saved to that contract.
Cookies
A session cookie keeps you logged in and protects forms; small preference cookies remember your theme and time zone; Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA set their own cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but logging in will not work without the session cookie.
Your choices and Texas privacy rights
You can edit or delete any contract at any time, unsubscribe from any email with one click, replace your private calendar link, and delete your whole account from your profile. You may also ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop any processing for targeted advertising, sale or profiling (we do none of these). Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act where it applies; we honor them for every user.
Send requests by email to aiswingx.com@gmail.com or through the contact form, from the email on your account. (aiswingx.com@gmail.com · contact form) We reply within 45 days. If we decline a request you can appeal by replying to our answer; we decide appeals within 60 days. If you are not satisfied with the appeal you may contact the Texas Attorney General. We do not process sensitive data.
Retention and security
We keep account and contract data until you delete it or your account. Deleting your account removes your contracts and saved items and anonymizes your account record; database backups roll over within about a day. Security and activity logs (IP address, account number, action, time) are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted; your email is removed from them when you delete your account. Support messages are kept for up to 24 months. Data is sent over HTTPS, access to the admin area is restricted, and passwords (if you set one) are stored only as salted hashes. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will notify you as required by Texas law.
Children
The service is for adults managing household bills and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post any change here with a new effective date, and email account holders about material changes.
