How billing works

  • Secure checkout by Stripe; we never see your card number.
  • Charges appear on your card statement as aiSwingX™, the Stripe account we use.
  • Cancel any time. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for; no partial refunds.
  • Receipts and invoices are on your account page.

Frequently asked questions

Is the TexasHomeBills™ API free?

Yes. Without a key you can make 60 requests per hour and 500 per day from one IP address. A free key raises that to 300 per hour and 3,000 per day. Every tier requires attribution: show your users “TexasHomeBills™” with a link to the page the data came from.

Can I use the free API in a commercial product?

No. Access without a key or with a free key is for personal, research, education, news and other non-commercial use, with attribution. Using our data or API and MCP output in or for a business’s product, service, app, website, dataset or AI model, or for client work, requires the Pro plan or a separate written agreement. Quoting our pages with a link in news articles and AI answers stays free.

How much does the Pro plan cost?

$99 per month, or $990 per year (two months free). It raises the limits to 1,000 requests per hour and 10,000 per day and adds the full daily plan history, the full history of every market data series, bulk CSV and JSON files refreshed daily, and a license for commercial use. Larger volumes are available by separate agreement.

How far back does the history go?

Daily history starts on Oct 9, 2026: every Power to Choose listing as it appeared each day, with prices, terms, fees, bill credits and our annual-cost rank, plus each version of the plan’s EFL we read. There is no data from before that date.

What happens when I reach a limit?

The API answers with HTTP 429 and tells you the limit and the time it resets. Hourly limits reset at the top of each hour and daily limits at 00:00 UTC. Requests answered with 429 are not counted.

How do I get a key?

Log in (an email link is enough), open your account page and create a key under API keys. The full key is shown once; send it in the X-API-Key header or as Authorization: Bearer.
