Estimates from Power to Choose prices incl. delivery charges, excl. taxes; seasonal usage (more in summer). Not offers — check the EFL.

ℹ Utility boundaries follow addresses, not city limits: some homes in or near Fort Stockton are served by an electric co-op or a city utility where you cannot choose a provider. Check the utility (TDU/TDSP) printed on your bill or look up your ZIP code.

Most of Fort Stockton is served by TNMP, which delivers the power and handles outages. You choose the retail provider and plan below; the delivery charge is the same whichever you pick.

Half of the "cheapest" Texas electricity plans aren't cheap over a year (November 3, 2026)

On November 3, 2026, more than half of the plans that look cheapest on Power to Choose were not cheap over a year. Of the 10 plans with the lowest 1,000 kWh price in each of six utility areas (60 plans), 33 ranked outside the top 50 by estimated 12-month cost, and all 33 have a bill credit. Only 4 of the 60 were in the real top 10.

Frequently asked questions

Which utility do I have?

It is printed on your bill as the TDU or TDSP — the company you call for outages. Dallas–Fort Worth is mostly Oncor, Houston is CenterPoint, Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley are AEP Texas Central. Austin and San Antonio have city utilities and no plan choice.

Why is a plan that is cheapest at 1,000 kWh not first?

Many of those plans give a bill credit only at 1,000 kWh or more. In months below the threshold the credit disappears. We price each month separately, so a plan that loses its credit in spring and fall can cost more over the year.

Are taxes included?

No. Prices include the utility's delivery charges as listed on PowerToChoose; sales tax and city fees vary by address and add a few percent to every plan alike.
