⚠ The lowest advertised 1,000 kWh price here is SimpleSaver 12 from AP Gas & Electric (TX) at 6.9¢/kWh, but for a home averaging 1,000 kWh it ranks #116 of 138 on estimated annual cost (about $1,824/yr vs $1,440/yr for #1) — its bill credit is missed in low-usage months. Why?
Estimates from Power to Choose prices incl. delivery charges, excl. taxes; seasonal usage (more in summer). Not offers — check the EFL.
ℹ Utility boundaries follow addresses, not city limits: some homes in or near Burleson are served by an electric co-op or a city utility where you cannot choose a provider. Check the utility (TDU/TDSP) printed on your bill or look up your ZIP code.
Most of Burleson is served by Oncor, which delivers the power and handles outages. You choose the retail provider and plan below; the delivery charge is the same whichever you pick.
138 plans ranked. Variable, prepaid, time-of-use and under-6-month plans are hidden unless you tick them — their price can change, depends on when you use power, or ends long before the year does.
Estimates include TDU delivery charges as published on PowerToChoose; taxes and city fees are not included. Always read the EFL before you sign.

Burleson is mostly in Johnson County. Electricity is only one part of what a home costs; the same public data shows the other parts for the county.
Mortgage: the median rate on conventional 30-year home-purchase loans made in Johnson County in 2025 was 6.5%. Mortgage data →
Property tax: the Johnson County rate is $0.3893 per $100 of taxable value for 2025, and the median school district in the county is $1.1964. The City of Burleson rate is $0.6125. Property tax data →
Past loans and adopted tax rates for the county, not offers and not a tax bill. A tax bill depends on your school district, special districts and your home’s taxable value.
It is printed on your bill as the TDU or TDSP — the company you call for outages. Dallas–Fort Worth is mostly Oncor, Houston is CenterPoint, Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley are AEP Texas Central. Austin and San Antonio have city utilities and no plan choice.
Why is a plan that is cheapest at 1,000 kWh not first?
Many of those plans give a bill credit only at 1,000 kWh or more. In months below the threshold the credit disappears. We price each month separately, so a plan that loses its credit in spring and fall can cost more over the year.
Are taxes included?
No. Prices include the utility's delivery charges as listed on PowerToChoose; sales tax and city fees vary by address and add a few percent to every plan alike.
